Third Circular of the 13th International Congress of Egyptologists

The 13th International Congress of Egyptologists is entitled “The Future of Ancient Egypt” and aims to reflect current scholarship and to open a dialogue on Egyptology in a wider sense. The congress will be foremost a platform to present the latest research in Egyptology, showcasing current and future research within its many branches and beyond. 

We are much looking forward to welcoming you to Leiden for the XIIIth International Congress of Egyptologists to be held 6-11 August 2023. This Third Circular includes information and updates about the congress venues, checking in before and during the congress, useful tips to our participants, including transportation to and within Leiden, and additional services and facilities that we offer.

The congress programme is now final; an abbreviated overview can be found on this website; full information will be available soon in our congress app. 

Registration of speakers, poster presenters, attendees, accompanying persons and booksellers is now closed. We are expecting over 800 participants, coming from an astonishing 32 countries worldwide and representing a broad spectrum of academic disciplines.
